Update from Barbara
Interesting Events Coming Up Very Soon!
Dear Bill,
I hope all is well with you. As you can see, we
have a new look for Launch Pad. However, this note
is really just to let you know about some upcoming
opportunities, while I'm working on the next
newsletter.
I wanted to let you know that we have an opportunity
to demonstrate N.E.T. to all that are interested at
Venture Outdoors this weekend. Next to me, JoAnn Brickley from the
Shadyside Center for Health will be giving free Muscle Activation Technique
sessions (see below). Also, the Greater
Pittsburgh Coaches Association (GPCA) is
hosting a free "Elbow to Elbow" informational and
networking event at The Rivers Club (One Oxford
Center) on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 from 5:30 to
7:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to learn what
coaching is all about, as well as meet with a
variety of coaches -
corporate/executive, small business, career, life
and relationship coaches.
Following a short presentation on coaching,
attendees can network with GPCA coaches and other
attendees who are exploring the idea of coaching for
themselves or their organizations.
Those interested in coaching for themselves will
learn what they can achieve with a coach's help.
They can discuss methods for achieving objectives,
and even have a brief, on-the-spot mini coaching
session to see for themselves how effective coaching is.
Those considering coaching for their executives and
other employees can meet with a variety of coaches
to quickly discern who is a good fit for their
corporate culture as well as for those needing
coaching. Meeting many coaches at one time in one
place will save the time and effort of scheduling
individual meetings.
To attend, register by June 10 on the GPCA
website.
There will be a cash bar and wine and cheese at this
event
With regards,
Barbara Schwarck

have gone dormant, usually in areas associated with
injury. Results can include a complete release from
pain, increased range of motion and stronger joints.

The Venture Outdoors Festival is a free event where
individuals and families can sample the many outdoor
activities available in our region. The event
features canoeing, kayaking, biking, dragon boats,
rock climbing, inline skating, fishing and more.
Participants can hone their skills or try these
activities for the first time - with experienced
instructors to provide guidance - and learn where to
enjoy these activities all season long.
There will be over 70 different clubs and
organizations with exhibits and information about
outdoor recreational opportunities in the region.
Local outdoor shops will also be on hand selling the
latest gear. In addition to the physical activities,
there will be an arts and craft section sponsored by
the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and tours of the
river discovery vessel, the Pittsburgh Voyager.
Free parking for Venture Outdoors will be available
at Gold Lot #1 (you must enter the lot before 3:00 PM).
Also during the festival will be the presentation of
